In the picture you can see the different landscape between Austria and Switzerland. The Swiss landscape is characterized by the placid green valleys and its many protected areas and natural parks. The Austrian landscape with its snowy peaks almost all over 3000 meters offer as well as a dramatic backdrop also the impression of being in a fairytale land where you feel in touch with the nature surrounding you. I found both these landscapes very beautiful and poetic, but I preferred the Austrian one because the landscape dotted with log houses looked almost unreal amidst the bright white, the smoking chimneys and the colorful lights hanging from the roofs made me feel immersed in a full Christmas atmosphere.
