In November my class and I went on a trip to Strasbourg. One of the many attractions was the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg. It is a Roman Catholic cathedral. Although considerable parts of it are still in Romanesque architecture, it is widely considered to be among the finest examples of high, or late, Gothic architecture. Inside the church there were guides who explained to us the things that we had just studied at school. This was the most exciting thing! To see live the things that a student studies at school for me was a proof that school is very useful and it works best when put into practice. This is one of the most imposing cathedrals in France and at the foot of this cathedral one feels tiny.
